Carol Vassar is a communications and media professional with over three decades of experience in radio/audio production, public relations, communications, social media, and digital marketing. In 2019, she launched Carol Vassar Media, through which she hosts and produces the Well Beyond Medicine podcast for Nemours Children’s Health. She provides podcast, live streaming, audio production, and writing services for clients in the healthcare and religious spaces. Her work has aired on public radio stations across the United States through the New England News Collaborative and Marketplace and has been published in national online publications, including Politico.
She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in vocal music from the University of Connecticut and a Master’s in Interactive Communications and Media from Quinnipiac University. Since 1994, she has been a soloist and choir member at various churches in central Connecticut, most recently at First Church, New Britain. She was recently accepted to sing with the prestigious Hartford Chorale, the choral symphonic arm of the Hartford Symphony.
