Joy Rios is the Founder and Host of HIT Like a Girl, a podcast she launched in 2018 that has amplified the voices of over 250 women leaders in healthcare and health IT. With more than a decade of experience building what didn't exist—from MIPS and Meaningful Use infrastructure for independent practices to clinician-to-Health IT training programs—Joy is a seasoned expert at the intersection of policy, technology, and people.
She is a Board Advisor at 4MedPlus, a former NSF reviewer, and a mentor with CSweetener. She is a Founding Member of 51&, championing the mission that being a woman is the original pre-existing condition.
After a brief pivot supporting a ferry electrification project, Joy has returned with renewed energy to co-host the podcast alongside Grace Vinton and Rebecca Love. Together, they are building a trusted community where women can share stories, reconnect with themselves and each other, and strengthen the links in healthcare's life-saving chain—especially where women's health and leadership meet broken systems.
