Dr. Garth Graham, the Director and Global Head of Healthcare and Public Health Partnerships at YouTube, has long espoused the belief that information is a social determinant of health. We had the chance to talk with Dr. Graham at HLTH 2023 in Las Vegas about this concept, as well as the topics of medical misinformation, health literacy, and the role, influence, and responsibility of YouTube - the world's most popular online video platform - and its parent company, Google, in creating a space where high-quality, evidenced-based health information get to the eyes and ears of those who need it.
