Those are core beliefs of AACN president Dr. Deborah Trautman and ones she has lived out in her impactful career. From ER nurse to policy leader Dr. Trautman, who was a Robert Wood Johnson fellow in Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office during the development of the Affordable Care Act, has also seen firsthand the importance of sharing clinical expertise with policymakers.
