For over the past 45 years Dr. Allchin have worked a variety of nursing jobs: staff nurse, assistant director of medical nursing, outpatient chemotherapy, per diem medical surgical, academic teaching and office triage, there have been jobs she didn’t like, but have loved every day as a nurse. She have been interested and involved in oncology nursing since the beginning. Dr. Allchin became interested in palliative care and hospice nursing and attended ELNEC training in 2001. She have spent 20+ years teaching nursing students in the academic setting in CT and AZ.
