Harnessing the power of Big Data with Dr. Aaron Lee

We are joined by Dr. Aaron Lee, a Vitreoretinal surgeon and clinical scientist at the University of Washington.  Today we discuss Dr. Lee’s expertise in big data to study ophthalmology and answer health care questions.  Dr. Lee reflects on his “Bridge to AI” project, creating an accessible, large database of Type II Diabetes patients to look for relationships between systemic health and ocular findings.  Whether you need an “AI for dummies” intro for the difference between Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Large Language models or are simply fascinated that we might diagnose renal function when imaging the retina, please tune in!
