In this week's View, Dr. Eagle looks at a recent JACC: Advances Viewpoint that examines the challenges associated with implementing revisions to the definition of first medical contact (FMC) introduced in the 2025 ACC/AHA ACS Guideline and its implications for NCDR data collection. He then examines a cardiooncology primer on CV toxicity of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) in breast cancer and follows that with a look at extreme heat and blood press (BP) changes, especially among the elderly. Finally, Dr. Eagle explores the results of the FinACAF study that indicates patients with atrial flutter only (AFL-only) had a 40% lower risk of ischemic stroke than those with atrial fibrillation only (AFib-only).
