Episode Description

Shaping Change into Meaningful Progress

Tune in to today’s 30th Anniversary podcast episode featuring Bill Spooner! Bill shares tips, lessons learned, experiences, and success stories extracted from a 45-year career in healthcare. 2006 CHIME Board Chair, 2009 CIO of the Year, winner of CHIME’s inaugural Federal Public Policy Award for CIO Leadership, and winner of CHIME’s 2018 Legacy Award, there aren’t many CHIME achievements that Bill hasn’t contributed to since he joined CHIME in 1996.

Bill generously shares his CHIME journey, from the warm welcome he received when he joined to being in the first group of CIOs to go to Washington to help shape public policy, he is a force for positive change. Bill pioneered the automation of the health record and, after being “voluntold”, graciously and enthusiastically chaired the Digital Health Most Wired Survey Advisory Board.

Don’t miss this chance to learn from Bill as he passes on advice and wisdom for the next generation of CHIME Members and digital health leaders.
