Episode Description

Reconciliation is a complicated process, even to those who fully understand it. In a nutshell, it’s a way of passing legislation in the Senate with a bare majority of 51 votes, as opposed to the 60 usually needed.

This podcast is an edited version of a Feb. 3rd professional briefing on the reconciliation process and what it may mean for passage of the COVID relief bill. Our speaker is Mary Naylor, AHA’s senior associate director for Federal Relations.
