Challenging AID Candidacy Norms

Nancy Hanna is joined by Cari Berget MPH, RN, CDCES who is a Research Instructor of Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine – Barbara Davis Center. During this episode, Nancy and Cari discuss automated insulin delivery (AID) candidacy and challenge the perception that people need to meet certain requirements to be considered for AID.

Cari shares her experience prescribing diabetes technology to patients who typically might not been considered for automated insulin delivery and shows the progress and clinical benefits that some of her patients have experienced on Omnipod 5.
