In this episode, we chat with a T1D mom who had to fight to get her very young daughter diluted insulin. Diluted insulin can help significantly improve time in range and contribute to far fewer lows for the younger population of T1Ds. It is especially helpful in pump therapy for diabetics who require less than 5 total units of insulin per day. For some very young children, even the smallest amount of insulin that can be given by a pump (0.05 units) can send them crashing low.
