No. Submitting your podcast to Health Podcast Library is free. If your show is accepted, the basic listing is also free. There are no setup fees and no monthly charges for a basic listing of your show with links to popular players.
No. You retain full ownership of your podcast and all content within it. Listing on Health Podcast Library works the same way as submitting to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or iHeart Radio — you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your show, and that's it.
No. We don't touch your files. All audio and video is served directly from your media host, exactly as published. Nothing is re-encoded, re-processed, or modified.
No. For basic listings (Free tier), we do not insert any advertising into your content. Unlike some platforms, Health Podcast Library does not place ads in your episodes without your involvement.
No. We do not track listens to your show — that is handled entirely by your media host, which serves your audio directly to listeners. We also link to your podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube, and we have no visibility into listen activity on those platforms. We do not collect or share your listener data with third parties, and we do not provide it to other podcasters or sponsors.
Yes. You can request removal of your listing at any time.
No. Health Podcast Library is an addition to your existing distribution, not a replacement for it. Your show should stay exactly where it is. We even link directly to your podcast on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube so listeners can follow you on whichever platform they prefer.
Yes. Adding a show to Health Podcast Library is similar to adding your show on other podcast player platforms - like iHeartRadio, Apple Podcasts or Spotify. We believe that you should distribute your shows across a range of podcast apps, networks, directories, and platforms simultaneously — and we encourage it.
Making credible health podcasts discoverable and accessible is core to our mission — and we don't want cost to be a barrier to that, for both creators and listeners. Basic listings are free because the more credible voices we have in the library, the more valuable it becomes for listeners and creators alike. For creators seeking additional services and support, we also offer paid membership tiers, including enhanced listings, access to our Slack community, podcast hosting, monetization support, and consulting. We also generate revenue through sponsorship of our events, awards, and newsletter, as well as display advertising on the platform. Visit our website for more information.
That's a fair question — and one that deserves a candid answer.
The reality is that podcasts don't get listens simply because they're on a podcast player. That's true whether your show is listed on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, or any other platform. Podcasters grow audiences by creating high-quality content, focusing on the listening experience, doing cross promotions, and connecting with audiences where they spend time — at events, on social media, on websites, through word-of-mouth recommendations, and, of course, through discovery on podcast apps.
But with millions of shows available on the major podcast platforms, the chances of your show getting the attention it deserves are not in your favor. We built Health Podcast Library to fix that.
What we can tell you is that many of our members have grown significantly — but we won't take credit for that. Growth comes from the work creators put in. What Health Podcast Library provides is a curated destination where credible health content is actively sought out by listeners who already care about quality. We do some of the lifting for listeners, so that when they find your show, they already have confidence in what they're about to hear.
What we can say with confidence is this: our mission is more aligned with yours than any general-purpose platform will ever be.
That's exactly what you get on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube — your show sits alongside millions of others with no distinction between what's credible and what isn't. Health Podcast Library exists specifically to change that. Every show in the library goes through a thorough review process, so you can be confident your podcast is in the company of other credible, evidence-based health content.
Yes — and we encourage it. The more you promote your listing, the more visibility your show gets, and the more valuable Health Podcast Library becomes for everyone in the community. We recommend linking directly to your show's page on Health Podcast Library wherever you promote your podcast.
Yes. We provide a "Listen on Health Podcast Library" badge that you can display on your website, in your email signature, and across your social media channels. We also provide shareable assets to help you let your audience know your show is part of Health Podcast Library.
We look at a number of factors: the credibility and qualifications of the host and contributors, the accuracy of the health information presented, audio production quality, and whether the show is actively publishing. In many cases, we will also conduct an interview with the host and check references.
Yes. We feature podcasts produced by health organizations, medical associations, and companies — provided the primary purpose of the show is education, not promotion. Shows that are primarily marketing vehicles are not a fit.
Not at this time. While we support video in a number of ways, Health Podcast Library is audio-forward — meaning we prioritize content that provides a screen-free or screen-light listening experience. To be listed on Health Podcast Library, your show must have a valid RSS feed and be available on at least one major podcast platform. If you're considering adding an audio version of your show, we'd love to hear from you.
It depends. We're primarily looking for shows that are actively publishing fresh content. That said, some podcasts are genuinely evergreen — where the content remains highly relevant and valuable regardless of when it was produced. We're happy to consider those on a case-by-case basis. If your show is no longer actively publishing, we encourage you to reach out before submitting. If you are planning to restart a podcast after a hiatus and want Health Podcast Library to be part of your relaunch, please reach out to us after submitting.
We're not able to provide detailed feedback on individual submissions, but the most common reasons include content that doesn't align with our health and credibility standards, audio quality that doesn't meet the standard our listeners expect, a host or contributor background we weren't able to verify, a show that functions primarily as a marketing or promotional vehicle, or a show that hasn't published recently. If your circumstances have changed, you're welcome to resubmit.
Invitations are extended directly by Health Podcast Library. The best way to get your own show in front of us is to submit it directly at HealthPodcastLibrary.com/go.
Yes. If a current member or trusted health leader referred you, we encourage you to mention that in your submission. We also proactively invite shows to participate — but an invitation isn't automatic acceptance. Every show, whether referred, invited, or self-submitted, goes through a thorough review process. We rely on an engaged group of trusted health leaders and content creators who provide input and guidance on the standards we uphold.
If you received an invitation from us, your review will typically be completed within a couple of days. For podcasts that are submitted without having received a prior invitation, the review process can take several weeks. If you'd like to request an expedited review, please contact us through the form on our website.
Ownership verification is quick and straightforward. When you submit your podcast, we'll either send a verification email to the address listed in your RSS feed, or ask you to temporarily add a 6-digit code we provide into a designated field in your RSS feed metadata — such as the description or copyright field. Once we confirm the code is there, ownership is verified and you're good to go. Most creators complete this in just a few minutes.
We'll send a confirmation to the email address associated with your account as soon as your podcast is live on Health Podcast Library.
Yes. Create an account at healthpodcastlibrary.com/go and follow the same process to submit multiple shows. You will need to verify ownership of each podcast before it can be added to your account.
Yes. If you produce podcasts on behalf of clients or your organization, you're welcome to submit those shows. Each show is reviewed individually, and the creator or rights holder will need to verify ownership as part of the submission process.
We'd love to hear from you. Reach out to us before you launch and we'll walk you through the process. Having Health Podcast Library as part of your launch plan is a great way to build visibility from day one — and we're happy to work with you to make that happen.
Any podcast with a valid RSS feed can be submitted to Health Podcast Library. If you're looking for a hosting platform, we recommend Megaphone — one of the leading podcast hosting platforms in the industry, and the hosting platform available on paid membership tiers.

Yes. Health Podcast Library supports video in three ways. First, for all podcasts, we can link to your YouTube channel alongside Apple Podcasts and Spotify, making it easy for listeners to find you wherever they watch or listen. Second, members on the Pro tier or higher can add a YouTube playlist to their page, displaying video episodes alongside their audio content. Third, Pro members who choose to host on Megaphone can take advantage of Megaphone's video support on Spotify, reaching listeners and viewers on one of the world's largest platforms.
Host profiles are available on paid membership tiers (Pro and higher). If you'd like to add a host profile to your listing, you can upgrade your membership at HealthPodcastLibrary.com/go.
YouTube playlist integration is available on paid membership tiers. If you'd like to add a YouTube playlist to your listing, you can upgrade your membership at HealthPodcastLibrary.com/go.
The Health Content Integrity Pledge is our commitment framework for creators listed on Health Podcast Library. It outlines the standards we expect from every show in the library — including accuracy, transparency about sources, and a genuine commitment to evidence-based health content. You can read the full pledge at HealthPodcast.org/health-content-integrity-pledge.
We do not provide production services, but we're happy to make referrals to trusted producers if that's something you need. We also provide office hours and other resources to ensure you have access to the tools and support to create high-impact content.
